The Pumpkin Patch

We've gone to Bates Nut Farm almost every year for the past 6 years. And every year I've told Brandon how much fun it will be when we have a little babe of our own to take pictures of in the pumpkins. Saturday was that day.
Although it was sweltering (and SO crowded) we managed to have a great time with Brandon's family! Avery got to spend time with her cousins which I love to see.
We bought some homemade chocolate from the store,
{chocolate covered gummy bears anyone?}
devoured ice-cold popsicles,
and tried to find the largest pumpkins in the patch.

Only a few more days until Halloween!

Little Ballerinas

Our little niece Bella Grace turned 3 years old last weekend. Her mommy (Brandon's sister) asked me to take pictures of the beautiful ballerina themed party including a teacher who came to the house and taught a class. When all of the tiny girls showed up in their teeny tutus and ballet shoes, I couldn't stop taking pictures.

Her daddy grilled up hotdogs for all the little ballerinas after they worked up an appetite.
Did I mention that Auntie and Uncle showed up in tutus also? :-)

Even Lia got to make an appearance at her sister's party!
Happy Birthday sweet, sweet Bella!
We love you very much :-)

Amber's 30th Birthday

My sister-in-law (Brandon's sister) turned the big 3-0 on St. Patrick's Day. Her husband stayed home with all three of their girls while she and I spent a few hours at a local boutique trying on cute outfits. Later that evening, they hosted a get together at their new place. We enjoyed yummy appetizers, good conversation and Jason's Mojitos (YUM). It was so nice to get to spend quality "adult" time with her since most of their time is spent chasing after our nieces! (4 years old, 3 years old, and 8 months old!)

Happy Birthday Amber!
I have a feeling this year is going to be a great one for you :-)

Baby Rolls & Birthday Cake

Brandon's dad was in town visiting from Tahoe, so we got together at my sister-in-law's house for dinner.
Which also means we got to soak up time with our nieces.
Like this little chunky monkey,
marshmallow fluff,
Lia.
Showing us her yoga moves
I always want to steal her away in my purse when we leave.
Her arm rolls kill me.
{sigh.}
And then there's Lia's older, silly sisters...
auntie's glasses
And of course there had to be cake...it was grandpa's birthday after all. His 29th birthday at that...
Seeing Brandon with our nieces makes my ovaries start dancing. I have to remind them to settle down.
The time will come.
You guys I can only imagine the number of pictures I will take of my own children. It will border on some kind of compulsive disorder.

Time with the fam bam

This weekend was a rainy one in sunny southern California.
While Brandon went camping with some of his friends,
Lucy and I decided to bundle up in our raincoats and go to my parent's house.
It was nice to spend quality time with my parents and brothers.
They live on acreage with beautiful views of valleys and ranches.
And I got to have some fun with my new lens.
The Robert De'niro
Before we knew it, it was time to get back on the road and head home.
Look what was waiting for me.
My new bracelet from Fetch & Co
UH.dorable.
Why yes, that is a little gun.
You'll have to check out her shop.
There are so many cute ones to choose from.

On a separate note,
Brandon texted me while I was at my parent's house to let me know that he came home and the house felt like a sauna. Seems that I left the heater on 85 degrees and it was blasting for 24 hours. oops. Can't wait to get that bill.
