On Sunday afternoon, I was getting out of the shower and heard Brandon singing in the next room. He was playing Adele's "Set Fire to the Rain" and had pulled out his old trusty guitar.
"My hands, they're strong, but my knees were far too weak, to stand in your arms without falling to your feet."
I'm so thankful everyday for someone musical in the family. I can only hope our future children will take after their dad, since their mom wasn't blessed with one musical bone in her body {hopefully they won't refer to themselves in third person like she does either}. In 6th grade we were all given three piece recorders for music class, and I don't think I could have felt any cooler. But I didn't like playing Hot Cross Buns nearly as much as I loved taking the recorder apart and putting it in the case, and then taking it out of the case and putting it back together. I just felt like a musician.
Brandon on the other hand can actually play the instrument he's holding. And it still gives me
butterflies...
butterflies...

:) I loved this. My husband (with tattoos down his arms, as well) can play the guitar. I took piano for like 8 or 9 years and can hardly read music these days. I remember when we were "courting" and he would serenade me for hours. Butterflies is right. :)
Men with guitars- there is just something sexy about it! :) Before my husband and I started dating, I told a few of my friends I wanted to find a man who played the guitar. On our first date, I saw a guitar sitting on his couch :-). Hook, line and sinker!
Love, love, love this!
Adam is a musician (drums & piano) and it never ever gets old :)
I've always wanted to be able to do something music-related but it just doesn't work out lol.
Happy Monday, girl!
xo
I am also thankful that Steve can also play an instrument as I am so not musically inclined either. I played the recorder once. I think I can still bust out twinkle twinkle little star.
But seriously - what's hotter than a cute boy and an acoustic guitar?
that is so sweet! guys that can play guitar pretty much make me melt!
this is so sweet!!
guitars are beautiful & your special to have your husband able to play for you! ;) hope you have a great monday.
xoxo

ps. I nominated you for an award on my page!!
This is sweet Amira and so true! My husband can play guitar and drums. I've only seen the guitar though and I love it! Unfortunately he doesn't have one right now but hopefully soon :) Oh and tattoos on boys that can play guitar...even better ;)
So sweet! My boyfriend plays the trumpet but I have yet to hear him play...hmm about time..
how romantic!!!
swoooooooon!!! I hope Brandon teaches your kiddos how to play, I wish I would have played an instrument and the thought of a man playing one...makes me weak in the knees. Jon owns an electric guitar but doesnt play!
There is nothing more attractive than a man who can play the guitar. Unless he can sing, too. That would be the only way it could get better. :o)
Hahaha...I can relate to your recorder experience with the flute I tried so desperately to coordinate my fingers on in 9th grade. It felt so great to hold it and try but I really sucked. They ended up having to give me drum sticks instead ;)
I play guitar! Well I'm teaching myself lol does your husband have anyn tips on playing? lol That is a great song by Adel!

I love that song.
Annddd I think this would be a good time to tell you that one day, in 9th grade, I bought an electric guitar and amp. Then I started a Girl Band. Then we played as though we were rockstars...very bad rockstars.
Also, I, too, played the recorder in 6th grade. I felt bad for all of those parents in the audience that had to listen to the train wreck of a performance that our little class did...oh memories.
the pictures are gerat!
Oh my goodness. How incredibly special. Such great photos too! :)
These pictures are awesome & it makes me giddy to find someone who can sing and play an instrument! I think it is such an amazing talent!
& I totally agree with you. I "played" the flute in 6th grade...I hardly knew how to play any of the notes but I thought I was something special carrying that thing around.

I am so jealous that you got a recorder. I think we only got flutaphones which were plastic, cheap recorders. It was so lame.
Tim bought me a guitar a couple years ago for Christmas but mostly I just wear it around the house and pretend that I'm Jenny Lewis instead of actually learning how to play it.
So, so jealous!
My hubby can play guitar. But he refuses acoustic and will only play Tool songs (barf.)
I was totally thinking of playing "Hot Cross Buns" on the recorder this weekend. Why? Because apparently Australians actually eat hot cross buns for Easter. Haha! Here I thought it was just some random, easily played tune.
Awesome! My brother plays the guitar but the musical gene didnt get passed on to me at all...........
This is so sweet! My husband can play the piano, but we don't have one, so he never plays for me. I told myself as a teenager that my future husband had to be able to play an instrument. There is nothihng hotter than hearing and watching your signif other playing an instrument!
Oh, and you must tell your secret on how you got him to sing Adele on his own? That's impressive!
SHHEEEESSSHHH hold onto that one, that is sexay! I may or may not be googling a guitar for my husband to learn now, it might be a little late for that (sigh)
Along with these would be secondary functions of the dehumidifier. If the air in the house does not contain enough moisture, people may feel cold and uncomfortable - even at 75 F. Mold can result in a mild allergy or it can be extremely toxic. I also thought that the attachment that is supposed to clean your stairs is ineffective. suggests you stay as possible in the oven while it is
