"If someone says gizzards one more time, I might lose it."

Brandon and I spent the Thanksgiving holiday at my parent's house this year. I think I'll let the pictures do the talking today
(partly because I'm too lazy, and partly because pictures can almost always tell a better story)

Brandon BBQ'd our turkey this year and it was SO tasty!

Checking on our turkey

My little brother AJ made this Aunt Jamima pilgrim when he was six  and she's still on our table :-)

Cheers!

Lucy is sleepy from too much turkey...

I didn't realize how horrible turkey innards are. I was completely grossed out. I made the stuffing but couldn't bear to actually push it into the empty, skinned carcass. Thank you Dad and Brandon for taking that on. The word gizzard is enough to give me the shivers.

Moving on...

Although Brandon and I didn't partake in black Friday this year like we normally do, we got to sleep in and are now headed to see Breaking Dawn with my family and my best friend Kandi's family :-)

Hope everyone had a happy Turkey day! :-)

I love all of the pictures!!! They always do tell a better story! (Or at least a more visually interesting one....)

Kudos to you for attempting to do the turkey!!! There is absolutely NO WAY I could ever stuff a turkey either. EVER. Blech. I much prefer to only see the post-cooked version that ends up on my plate. All of that before stuff can stay a mystery. :o)
