The day has finally come.
It didn't matter that I knew it was coming,
or that I gave myself several pep talks
in preparation for its arrival.
And although it was never going to turn into a serious relationship
and was only ever going to be a quick ten day roll in the hay
I fell in love with my staycation
and had hoped it would turn in to something more.
And while I know that eventually I'll move on
and maybe even meet another staycation later on,
I'm still left missing you.Remember when we went to The Burger Lounge downtown for the first time?
Or that delicious dessert we shared at Cafe Bleu?
You were there for the arrival of Brandon's brand new old Jeep.
{like he really needed another toy}
You let me stay up late reading Jane Eyre,
{which is an amazing story by the way}
watching The Good Wife,
and blogging.
You never pressured me into waking up early
or made me set my alarm.
You took me to Einstein's Bagels almost every morning,
and let me be the couch potato I always long to be.
You sat next to me while I tried crocheting for the first time
and didn't judge me when I wanted to throw my yarn and hook across the room
{I'm sorry but those guide books are not easy to understand!}
You made wearing pajamas at 2:00 in the afternoon perfectly acceptable.
You were everything I dreamed you would be and more
-my dearest staycation-
but you were always a love 'em and leave 'em kind of guy.

Glad I am NOT the only one suffering through going back to work/school .. but this is adorable. Just think your next staycation is a day closer now!!
Oh this is just too cute! That staycation, he is a heartbreaker, that one. But like always, life goes on and you will remember the fond memories. I believe he was there for our date too. Trickster, he is.
I am having the staycation blues too. I was a lazy bag of bones pretty much the whole time, and then tonight I get this sudden itch to finish taking the Christmas tree down and deep clean the bathroom and kitchen. What the crap? Oh well. Hi ho, hi ho, it's off to work we go...
I was with a staycation once. It only lasted a week, though I wanted to keep it going.
